It is TNC-2 firmware compatible with TAPR style commands plus many PacComm additions now including APRS. For the UK ham it fulfils all the legal requirements regarding identification i.e. CW ident etc. It is easily set up and can be used in other modes such as KISS mode. With a fully upgradable eprom it has mailbox and other memory storage facilities. There are many good Windows & DOS programmes for TNCs. A selection of TNC software is available on the Internet and on various Shareware CDs. The PCF-2 9-pin to 9-pin 1.8m long serial lead is available for the Tiny-2 Mk2.
